Additional Exam Time
The option of adding additional time to your exam will differ according to the accrediting body. Please use the following as guidance but refer to their website for additional information:
- PeopleCert exams - Additional time is given following Peoplecert’s set criteria. For example, if your native language is not English you will be given 25% more time to complete your paper. For more information on the criteria and how to request more time please visit the PeopleCert website.
- APMG exams - Special allowances can be made including additional time but will need to be discussed with their team. Please go to the contact us section of the APMG website or read the exams section for further information.
- The Open Group exams - Additional time is given following The Open Group’s set criteria. For example, an additional 30-minutes can be added if your native language is not English. For more information on the criteria and how to request more time please visit the The Open Group.
- APM exams - Additional time is given following The Open Group’s set criteria. For example, if you have a medical requirement you can request an additional 15-minutes per hour for your exam. For more information on the criteria and how to request more time please visit the APM.
- BCS - Additional time is given following BCS’ set criteria. For example, if you have a medical requirement you can request an additional 25% time per hour for your exam. For more information on the criteria and how to request more time please visit the BCS website.
- TKA - If you are sitting a TKA internal exam and would like to request extra time please raise an exam ticket on our tickets page. Please outline the reason you require extra time (if this is due to medical reasons please attach a doctor’s note). We will be in touch to confirm if your request has been accepted.
Exam Delivery Methods
If you are sitting an exam with an external exam board, you will need to visit their website to understand the exam delivery methods that they offer. Once you have booked an exam, if you wish to change your delivery method you will need to get in touch with the examining body directly. We are unable to make changes to your exam.
Exam Language
In general, most accredited exam bodies are not able to change your exam paper to a different language. However, they often offer extra time if your native language is not English. Each accrediting body have different rules on this. You will need to visit their website for further information or get in touch with their customer services.
